You’ve been in your career for a while. You’ve moved beyond the entry-level position, and you’ve gained a sense of accomplishment at having climbed the salary ladder. Yet, if you’re here, you’re likely considering a change. Something in your career isn’t working, and you’ve been curious about making the move to tech.

But you might be nervous about going back to that entry-level salary again. Won’t you earn less by returning to the bottom of the totem pole?

According to our data, you only have a higher salary ahead of you. Let’s dig into that.

An increase of more than $20,000

According to our Outcomes Report, our graduates increased their salaries by at least $20,000.

And when you look closer at the data, it gets even rosier. At the low end, the entry-level data analyst salary for our grads was $21,500 higher than what they earned before TripleTen. On the other side of the spectrum, the entry-level data scientist salary found among our grads nearly doubled that increase. For them, by switching to an entry-level data scientist role, paychecks went up by $42,300. And when abstracted across all professions, the majority of our grads in 2023 increased their salaries by over $27,000.

Of course, this is all aggregated data. If you come to tech from a career as a cardiologist, your salary might decrease. But even then, if you master tech skills and specialize well, you might come close to matching an impressive salary down the line. If you end up landing a job at one of the top-paying companiesThe Top 18 Companies That Pay Software Engineers the Most in 2024, you can find yourself earning more than $250,000. It all comes down to the tech you choose to drill down on — depending on what type of programmer11 Types of Software Engineers and Programmers: See Who You Can Become you become, you can find yourself raking in a much higher salary. That can help you pay off loans, save up for a deposit on a house, or provide better for your family. Just take the case of Desiree BradishFrom Graphic Design to Code Design: Desiree Bradish’s TripleTen Story, who switched from graphic design to tech to earn more and take better care of her two sisters and five nieces.

So the higher paycheck is fully within your reach, even if it is just an entry-level salary. And we can help you gain the skills that will take you there. Check out our Outcomes Report for more info on what you can expect.
