Practicum is now TripleTen

We started Practicum to be the bootcamp for people with real lives. And just as our former students have altered their career trajectories and our current students are learning new technology skills, it’s our turn to progress, too. Today, we are excited to embark on a journey of transformation as we announce a significant milestone in our company’s history — a change in our name. 

After months of introspection, research, planning, and bad coding puns, we have chosen a name that encompasses all that we do. With great enthusiasm, we invite you to the new Practicum. Moving forward, we will be known as TripleTen, directly inspired by the binary code 101010. 

Why 101010? In binary, TripleTen (101010) is 42, which is “The Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe and Everything” according to The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. (We told you we were nerds!) The Hitchhiker series has a theme of creating your own destiny — and that is what our program and our students are all about.   

This is extremely important and powerful to us because, at Practicum, our mission has always been to give our students the tools to help them find answers in the course of their lives and the freedom to change. 

The name TripleTen was born out of a deep understanding of our student’s aspirations. It signifies our firm resolve to provide the best schooling experience possible, forging meaningful connections through mentorship, and securing vibrant futures for a greater quality of life. 

“TripleTen” reflects our commitment to our core values as a beginner-friendly online coding bootcamp that has the highest rates of completion and post-graduation employment. We maintain our unwavering dedication to getting our students their dream jobs within six months of graduation or giving 100% of their tuition back.

We understand that a name carries tremendous significance and can shape perceptions, which is why we have approached this transformation with care and consideration. Our new name represents a new era while maintaining the energy, excitement, and passion we’ve had since day one. We are still the best no-risk, high-reward bootcamp available to students. 

As we embrace what we’ve always known — changing life trajectories is hard, so we make it easy — we’ll continue building our students’ trust. We care as much as they do, we are incredibly inspired by them, and we promise to exceed their expectations. Every. Single. Day.
